title holders stats

A few boxing title holders statistics. Most interesting is the age: currently the mean age of title holders is somewhere between 30 and 31 years old, and that is the case even if you ignore Bernard Hopkins whooping 48 years of age!
It would be interesting to see what it was as a function of time: how much younger was your average title holder 10, 30, 50 years ago?
Note: at page load the statistics are compiled by title, meaning that fighters that hold more than one title are double-counted, for every title they hold. Click here to see the same statistics, counting each fighter only once, here to go back to fighters being doublecounted.
